Meet The Chef

I'm Michelle, a passionate private chef based in the sunny south of Portugal. My culinary journey started with my experience in running a B&B for a decade, where I served healthy and tasty breakfasts to thousands of guests. This experience ignited my passion for bringing people together through food and positively impacting their well-being.

As a self-taught chef, I'm always eager to learn and improve my skills. My approach to cooking focuses on using fresh, organic and locally-sourced ingredients to create vibrant, flavourful meals. I believe that healthy food should be exciting, and I create dishes that showcase this.

I've had the pleasure of working with amazing retreats like Seeds of Silence and Casa Fuzetta, where I provided guests with balanced meals that boost energy, improve digestion, and contribute to glowing skin.

In addition to my work as a private chef, I enjoy baking, exploring the versatility of ancient grains like teff, and sharing my creations with others. When I'm not in the kitchen, I love exploring local markets, and soaking up the natural beauty of the Algarve coast.

I offer cooking workshops for those who are passionate about food and keen to expand their culinary skills. Let yourself be inspired with vegetarian and vegan dishes, far removed from the dull and tasteless stereotypes.



As a private chef specialized in vegetarian and vegan cooking, I am available to cook during retreats. I'm proud to have been the chef at beautiful retreat locations in the Algarve region.


I'm also available to cook for you and your family and friends on location. My specialty is creating fully organic, balanced and healthy vegetarian and vegan cuisine.

Michelle's cooking philosophy

Healthy and varied nutrition is important to everyone, but giving it your top priority is not always easy.


I truly believe that meals created with organic ingredients are tastier and also improve your health because there are fewer pesticides that can slowly weaken you in the long term.


The rich flavours of organic fruit and vegetables cannot be compared to the flavours of regular fruit and vegetables from your larger supermarkets. Organic fruit and vegetables have a more complex and intense flavour profile.
